Enjoy a special evening with Yoshi and Lani Sako of Den Sake, with a prix fixe dinner curated by Chef Asuka Uchida

Join us for a special evening of sake pairing prix fixe dinner with Yoshi and Lani Sako of Den Sake, a local craft small-batch sake brewery using local ingredients in Oakland. Yoshi will bring five different sakes he brewed at his brewery with different tasting notes and brewing methods for you to try. Chef Asuka has curated a special tasting menu to pair with his sake for this special occasion. Come meet the brewer and learn about brewing methods as well as how sake and food pairing works.

First
Appetizer Trio
Fresh local persimmon and watermelon radish sunomono, Japanese dried persimmon and vegetables shiraae, pickled mountain yam with Fromager d’Affinois

Wild gulf shrimp, local halibut cheek, maitake mushroom, served with tentsuyu with organic daikon and ginger, mojio salt

Chicken marinated in shio koji made by Den Sake, grilled over binchotan, served with Hikari Farms organic Sennmoto negi

Braised Wagyu Gyusuji & Gyutan with Organic Vegetables
Wagyu tendon and tongue, Hikari Farms organic daikon and satoimo slow braised in house-made dashi, myoga gingers, karashi mustard, curry shansho salt
